Golf du Touquet
Le Touquet Golf Club is situated on the shores of the French Côte d'Opale
and its three excellent courses, covering more than 250 hectares, make it one of the
largest golf resorts in Europe.
The club has hosted many prestigious tournaments, including the Le Touquet
Amateur Classic, and this bears testament to the quality of the resort.
With a range of course lengths available, Le Touquet is the perfect venue for
groups of mixed ability golfers.
Le Touquet La Mer 6862 yards, par 72
La Mer, designed by Harry Colt, was inaugurated in 1931. This course can be
likened to a genuine Scottish Links and has been chosen on several occasions for the
French Open and the Amateur Championships of France. Recently voted in the top 100 courses
in Europe the course offers golfers a magnificent landscape that is mainly sculpted
around the rugged and wind swept dunes of the coast. The fast greens and heather &
gorse make this a must for all golfers though it does offer a stern test of golf
under any conditions.
Le Touquet La Foret 6189 yards, par 71
La Foret was designed by Horace Hutchinson and inaugurated in 1904.
The course is laid out in Le Touquet's superb pine grove and its calm and friendly
atmosphere offers players of all levels a pleasurable and relaxing experience.
La Foret course runs around the clubhouse and is less rugged and not as difficult
as its sister course - La Mer.
